Many people are asking who and what is Hargoosh and how did this website come about. So, to answer your questions: Hargoosh, which to be more accurate might be spelled Khargoosh, but that 'Kh' sound is often difficult for Americans to 'spit out'so, to make it easier on the throat I spelled it Hargoosh. Hargoosh is Persian or Farsi for 'rabbit' thus the letter 'O' has a set of "ears" ~ a hanging carrot under the big H and the tagline: "A Hare to the Write with an Ear for the News"... is it all making sense to you now?
I have been a "news junkie for many years, my frustration can as more and more news channels became more and more biased and untruthful. I found my favorite online site for news, the Drudge Report but found frustration with his reporting of gossip and nonsensical news about celebrities and information that to me, just did not matter. I was also frustrated with the fact that the Drudge Report was often not updated on weekends unless there was something very major happening. My airline career took me all over the world, and there are now only a handful of countries I have not visited more than once which also gave me an interest to know what is happening in places all over the world.
I had no idea how to build a website or write code, and felt a bit stuck in the process, having come up in a generation without computers and cell phones, I knew what I wanted to do but couldn't quite figure out how to do it. While driving one morning I heard an advertisement for Google, they were teaming up with Intuit and coming to town to help people "Get your business Online" so, I decided to register and attend. The classes were most helpful even for a person not familiar with the words, html, platforms, and code.
Taking inspiration from the format used by the Drudge Report, I figured out how to arrange links and started. A great graphics guy from down under had created a logo for me, and I managed to figure out how to get all of those links to 'stick' on the page. Each day I played a little more with adding links and finding news, finally about the first of December 2011, the Hargoosh Herald was launched!
I had accumulated many interesting videos and free ebooks on subjects that I had found interesting or that had opened my eyes to the world around me and to how manipulated our news and information really is and who is doing that manipulation and what their agenda is.
I decided to start adding those videos and ebooks and the webpage began to grow. I hope to continue to add more interesting videos and ebooks as my time permits and as I discover them.
I am trying to complete a novel that I started about a year ago, and while doing some research, I actually stumbled upon more and more examples of 'media manipulation and down right lies, this discovery shocked me and the more I discovered the deeper I dug into this, much of this information I have included in the video vault.
The videos are not mine, and each may be viewed on You Tube by clicking on the icon located at the bottom right of the smaller screen, this will take you to the You Tube subscriber who may have more interesting videos for you to learn from. Now, what I discovered while clicking on through You Tube, not everything is true, not everything is real and there are some dis-information people out there no matter the subject matter so, if you view something that does not "seem" right, I suggest you keep on digging and keep on viewing.

My mission is to deliver information without 'biased opinion' using many news sources, many of which are biased as they are owned by the people who do manipulate the news, so I caution you to be aware of who is the author and who is that authors 'boss' when reading articles of news.
